Yes, I’m a Mom who get stressed, A LOT! Who doesn’t…mom or not, right? You don’t have to be a mom to benefit from this blog, or any of my other blogs for that matter. And especially with the weekend coming you’ll want to listen up…but only if your are over 21.
I went out with the girls the other night. It had been a while and yes, I needed a drink. And the place we went to has the BEST martinis ever. So I ordered a pomegranate martini and it was good. Then during dinner I ordered another and yes just one more. (Note: I was not driving that night).
Now, I’m no spring chicken and nowadays one drink does a job on me..lol. I could be out for the count the entire next day. But I couldn’t because it was a weeknight and I had to get up to get the kids to school the next day and do everything else I do throughout the day. So why did I have 3 martini’s? Because they were good, I wanted it and I deserved it!
But, I wasn’t worried and all. And of course you know why – I have my oils. So this is my quick and easy remedy to avoid a hangover:
As soon as you are ready for bed simply drink a shot (no not alcohol..now that would defeat the purpose wouldn’t it?) of water with 3 drops of fennel and 3 drops of peppermint. If you have ginger add 3 drops of that too. You can also do any combination of two of the 3 oils but I find all three work best and second would be fennel and peppermint. After you’ve done your shot drink 8 oz. of water with with 2 drops of lemon oil to help alkaline your body because after a night of drinking and eating too, you will be very acidic.
And this is what I did that night. I didn’t have ginger though, just he fennel and peppermint. And guess what? I woke up fine the next day. A bit tired from going to bed later than usual, but otherwise fine.
So remember this the next time you go out and have a few too many. You’ll thank me for sure!
